This is the short version, and it's also the whole story: Meduna has no user accounts, runs no servers, and sends nothing to us. Everything below explains exactly what the app does with the information it touches.
All of your data — medications, schedules, check-in history — is stored locally on your device using Apple's on-device database. We never see it, because there's no server for it to go to.
If you turn on iCloud sync in Settings, your data mirrors across your own devices that are signed into the same Apple ID, using Apple's CloudKit private database. This sync is between your devices and Apple's infrastructure — Meduna's developer has no access to it, and it isn't shared with any other Apple ID. You can turn this off at any time in Settings; it takes effect after restarting the app.
If you use the "scan a prescription" feature, Meduna reads text from the photo entirely on your device using Apple's built-in text recognition (Vision framework). The image is held in memory only for the moment it takes to recognize the text, then discarded immediately — it is never uploaded anywhere, and never saved to disk. Whatever the app reads is only a draft: you review and confirm every field before it becomes a real medication schedule.
Reminders are scheduled locally on your device through Apple's notification system. There is no push notification server and no remote service involved in delivering them.
None. Meduna doesn't include any analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs, and doesn't send usage data anywhere.
Settings includes a "Reset local data" option that permanently erases everything stored on that device. If iCloud sync was on, deleting the app (or the underlying CloudKit records) removes the synced copy as well. Since there's no account and no server-side copy, uninstalling the app removes everything Meduna ever had.
Meduna is built for families, which can include children as the person a medication schedule is set up for. Because there are no accounts and nothing leaves the device (except through the family's own iCloud), Meduna does not collect, transmit, or have access to any personal information about anyone who uses it, child or adult.
If this ever changes — for example, if a future version adds an optional feature that involves a server — this page will be updated first, with a new "last updated" date above.
